About Vereli

Vereli is a small Australian business building a free directory of Australian wedding vendors.

Why it exists

Weddings are strange like that. You'll spend more time planning for one day than almost anything else you'll ever organise, and you only get to do it once, so you want to get it right.

For most couples that means months, even years of finding a photographer, a celebrant, a venue and a dozen others, comparing quotes, and asking each of them the same questions. For a vendor, being found often means paying a directory a fee, sometimes on a long contract.

We didn't think that had to be the whole experience. So we're building Vereli to start with something small and useful: a directory where a vendor lists their own business for free, with no minimum term, and where a couple can browse, read the prices a vendor has published, and send an enquiry straight to them. Nobody pays to rank higher: the directory shows vendors in a random order that changes daily.

How it works

A vendor signs up with their business name, what they do and an email address. Their listing goes live as soon as they open the link we email them. A couple browses the directory and sends an enquiry, and we email it to the business, who reply to the couple from their own email. We don't reply for anyone. See how it works for the detail.

Your gift registry

Alongside the directory, we built a simple gift registry: add what you'd love, link to wherever you'd like to buy it, and share one link with your guests. We don't hold the money and we don't manage the purchase — just a clearer place to point people, instead of the group chat.

What it is not

Vereli does not take payment, hold money or handle bookings, and any agreement is between the couple and the vendor. The details on a listing are provided by the business, and Vereli hasn't verified them. Anyone can report a listing that looks wrong, and if it looks like fraud or a safety problem we hide it while we look.

Who is behind it

One person, in Canberra. It's still early, and we're building it one piece at a time, with actual vendors and couples telling us what's genuinely missing. If planning yours has felt like more admin than celebration lately, we're here to help.
