4 venues for the perfect vineyard wedding in the Hunter Valley
Highlights. Picture the ceremony among the vines, golden light on the hills, and a long table as the sun goes down. These four Hunter Valley venues are a good place to start if a vineyard wedding is the dream. They range from a private estate you have to yourselves to a working country property with its own highland cows. We list them in no particular order.
What we mean by "the perfect vineyard wedding"
We mean your version of it: a setting among the vines or the Hunter's rolling countryside, that suits the wedding you want to have. Some of these venues are classic and polished, others are relaxed and rustic.
The four
Greystone Estate, Pokolbin

Greystone Estate is a private, 10-acre estate on Hermitage Road in the heart of Pokolbin. When you book, you have exclusive use of the whole property, with no other guests and no shared spaces, and accommodation across several residences. Its pitch is a curated, multi-day celebration rather than a single evening.
It also hosts corporate retreats and has its own wines, and you can book a tour to see the estate before you decide.
A good fit if you want to take over an estate for a few days and make the whole celebration yours.
"On the day, the estate itself was absolutely breathtaking. The setting, the attention to detail, and the way everything came together created such an incredible atmosphere, it truly felt like the perfect place for us to celebrate."

Bimbadgen, Pokolbin

Bimbadgen is a Pokolbin winery with three wedding venues on its site. Palmers Lane is a rustic, private reception space surrounded by acres of vines, with soaring timber beams, outdoor ceremony spaces and festoon lighting. Esca Bimbadgen is a more intimate, modern-edged setting for smaller weddings and elopements, with views over the valley. Emma's Cottage is a character-filled boutique space among the vines for an intimate gathering.
Having three different spaces on one estate means you can choose the size and feel that suit your guest list, and book a site visit to compare.
A good fit if you want a winery setting with a few venue styles to choose between.
"Caitlin, you made our entire wedding experience so stress free and we cannot thank you enough."

Adams Peak Country Estate, Broke

Adams Peak is a country estate in Broke that describes itself as one of a kind, offering ceremony, reception and accommodation in one location. You can marry on the lawn with views over the Upper Hunter, use a covered Plan B, or hold a ceremony or cocktail reception in the open-air Hay Shed. The reception can be in the rustic Barn or the Hay Shed.
The estate has onsite accommodation for two nights, photo locations including its highland cows, and a dedicated wedding coordinator with a planning portal, plus more accommodation within a five-minute drive.
A good fit if you want a relaxed country wedding with the ceremony, party and your closest guests all on one property.
"An amazing venue, managed by incredible humans."

Before you book
Questions worth asking on a venue tour:
- Which dates are available, and what is the deposit and cancellation policy?
- What is the finish time, and are there noise or curfew rules?
- What is the wet-weather plan, and where do we stand for the ceremony if it rains?
- Is the venue exclusive to us on the day, and can we bring our own suppliers?
- What accommodation is on site or nearby for us and our guests?
We chose these venues from public information; each has a working website and active socials and hosts weddings in the Hunter Valley. Inclusion is not paid for and we have not tested their services.
